Really enjoyed my afternoon tea. Service was a mixed bag of fast and slow and they could have asked if we wanted anything else laterly but would still definitely recommend. Beautiful setting

We stayed for 2 nights this weekend. Our meal on Fri was delicious (if somewhat expensive), however the restaurant was so warm. Uncomfortably so.. Our room was above the main bar area and was like a sauna, with no means to vary the temp as the heat was coming from the pipes, except to open the large and heavy window in the room. (not great when you're above the main entrance to the hotel). Had a terrible night sleep, and it was pretty noisy too due to being above the bar area (breakfast also served there), as well as next to the cupboard the maids use... Breakfast was decent... 2nd night was cooler in the room but just as noisy. We had enquired about moving room after Friday but were told the hotel was very busy as a wedding was on. Overall, would I stay again based on this weekend? No, I'm afraid. It wasn't worth the money for a poor night's sleep. I will say though that the staff were really lovely.

Arranged a business meeting here, great hotel with the open fire and decent coffee. Dog friendly also even though I didn't have my dog..

Stopped off for coffee and scones, place was so nice and menus looked so good decided to come back in the evening for dinner. Food, service and atmosphere were all excellent. Would definitely recommend. 5 ⭐️

This is our 3rd time attending the New Year’s Eve gala dinner, and by far the best yet. From arriving we were greeted by courteous staff who showed us through to the reception area for the champagne reception .The organisation was excellent nothing was too much trouble for all your lovely staff, the meal was lovely,are friends and I were sat on table 5 and had a wonderful evening with the other guests on our table. Everyone had made an effort to dress appropriately for the occasion,the DJ was great at providing both modern but also traditional ceildh music.We had travelled over 300 miles to spend the Hogmanay in beautiful Aberdeenshire ,something we have been doing for over 25 yrs now. I think Banchory lodge provided the perfect balance between a traditional and up to date Hogmanay celebration.well done! We will be back.

Now… great food and wine is one thing. However the initial charms that I was met with as soon as Ruairidh took my drinks order was outstanding. Too good to be true however, as sadly discovered he is leaving the banchory lodge team. Thanks again Ruaridh, You really do have what it takes to charm your way to the top in the political world!

Room was good but as with old buildings it was drafty and cool. the staff were very friendly and polite. The location is good over looking the dee river .

Lovely hotel situated in quite a small village. Very pretty long driveway leading up to the hotel. We had a small, very tasty evening meal in their restaurant. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Excellent service from Davud and team in a stunning location. The hotel staff were warm, professional and very responsive throughout our stay. They were very thoughtful and accommodating of sepcial dietary needs too, which is appreciated.

Cet hôtel ne mérite pas un 4 étoiles. Lorsque vous payez pour un 4 étoiles vous vous attendez à un très bon service. Nous avons réservé une chambre comfort en se fiant sur les photos proposées par l'hôtel (même photos sur booking.com et l'hôtel) une belle chambre avec une vue et voici ce que nous avons obtenu, une chambre avec une fenêtre voilée donnant sur une court intérieur où il y a les poubelles. Déprimant! De plus la douche n'avait pas de pression, des longues minutes pour pouvoir enlever le savon. Nous avons fait une plainte et comme l'hôtel était plein, on nous a proposé un rabais de £50 plus petits déjeuners remboursés. Mais ce n'est pas ce que nous avons obtenu. Un rabais de £50 sur un total de £335 c'est bien peu pour une chambre qui ne vaut pas plus de £100 la nuit. Les déjeuners n'étant pas remboursés puis que selon la direction, ceux-ci étaient déjà remboursés. Ils n'ont jamais été capable de m'en faire la preuve même si j'ai demandé par 2 fois de me montrer un reçu de remboursement. Une directrice d'hôtel non-professionnel et non compréhensive. Le site est enchanteur, le personnel est agréable mais la direction n'a aucun respect pour le client. Ne dépensez pas votre argent pour une chambre qui n'en vaut pas la peine.

My mum and her friend stayed for 2 nights in September and had a brilliant stay. They said the staff were very friendly and they also spoke very highly of David in particular who was extra friendly to their dogs, giving them treats at dinner and breakfast. Beautiful hotel and couldn’t fault the staff. Excellent food and the most amazing vegetarian breakfast. They’ll definitely be back again next year!

Sadly only 5 stars available as would easily have given more. We had the pleasure of staying at the lodges Cobbleheugh and my word what a place. From the Front Door to the back, upstairs and downstairs to the faultless Calum who looked after us for a special evening, he is a credit to the Lodge. The service was 6 star, the rooms 6, the decor 6, the surrounds 6 the fresh air 6. Simply a fantastic experience......Faultless

We had our wedding at banchory lodge hotel back in march and it was the most perfect weekend! Special thanks to Rhiannon, Ebony and Morgan for making the day run so smoothly. The food was incredible, everyone commented on how delicious the food was. The rooms were outstanding and very comfortable. The bar staff were so attentive and even let my wee nephew make "cocktails" with the cocktail shaker. The bar staff even made up the numbers for our ceilidh dancing! All in all, we had the best wedding and we couldn't recommend them enough!

Me and my partner (now wife!) got married here recently. The hotel is amazing and the staff couldn't have been better. The level of service was second to none and we had the most perfect day thanks to the Banchory Lodge team. Special mention to Ebony who helped us plan the event. She was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. Our wedding truly was a dream day and we couldn't be happier!

My husband and I came across this hotel as part of a larger group last year and were impressed with the service and passion of their staff.We are just back from our 3rd stay of this year and it never disappoints.Having read some of the other comments about pricing we are firm believers in paying for quality and consider this hotel to be fantastic value for money.Excellent service from David the restaurant manger and his team.We are already planning our next visit.very highly recommend.

Had lunch there on Sunday afternoon and the food was fantastic and well presented. The service was first class. Well worth the trip to a beautiful hotel by the river. We will be back.

Stayed the night at Banchory Lodge after a long hike. The front desk clerk graciously accepted our last minute booking and also upgraded us to a nicer room! The room was large, clean, and had a lovely view of the river. We also had the most delicious supper. My partner has lamb and I had the vegetable fried rice. Both of us had a pint of beer. Honestly, that was the best veggie fried rice I’ve ever had. The spices were just right. After supper, we explored the property. It felt so luxurious, like being at an idyllic country lodge really. I wish we had more than one night here!

Myself and family had an awful experience at Banchory lodge last Saturday afternoon, we arrived and its was raining so we were told we could sit in the covered outside area by the restaurant manager, after ordering drinks and food, we were then asked to move in the middle of our meal, because the table we were on apparently had been pre booked, we were then told very rudely to go and sit on a high table by the restaurant manager, I explained that I had just had a Major operation so that would be to uncomfortable for me, he proceeded to very rude to us, we then had to sit outside in the rain under an umbrella to finish our meal! Very disappointing food, very rude restaurant manger and also when I complained to the general manager he was aggressive and rude to me! Shocking behaviour as I had travelled 600 miles the previous day to visit my daughter who I rarely see, visit the hotel as she wanted her wedding there!! I’m absolutely disgusted!

Stopped in here for an evening meal. Food was first class, staff were super helpful and the service was quick. We had our dog with us and we felt very welcome at the Banchory Lodge Hotel, 5 stars.
